About Me

My name is Dan Harvey. For over 25 years, I’ve been at the front lines of the modern workplace, and I’ve seen how broken it is.

My background in the workings of the human mind, from an undergraduate degree in psychology to professional research to training as a meditation teacher, has given me the framework to see why the system was flawed. My long career in the corporate world gave me a front-row seat to see how these broken systems operate – culminating in my own personal experience with burnout.

This led me to a period of extensive research into the thinkers who were offering a solution to these problems, from Cal Newport on deep work to Paul Gilbert on self-compassion to Rutger Bregman on human cooperation to Lucy Jones on nature connection. I have dedicated myself to consolidating my own experience with these thinkers’ research in order to build a practical, evidence-based framework to help ethical organisations find a better, more sustainable way to work.

I am passionate and determined to help build a movement of ethical employers who understand that when their people thrive, so does their organisation.
